Thirteen percent of breakfasts now take place away from home3, and grab-and-go options are more popular than ever: People eat breakfast in the car four times as often as they did two decades ago. While cereal remains the top at-home choice, eggs, breakfast sandwiches, bacon, sausage and potatoes top the list for breakfast away from home, while purchases of yogurt, breakfast bars, hot breakfast sandwiches and hot cereal also continue to grow.
